Start-up dates and times for the various ensembles are given below.  This season the concert band will have several vacancies in its woodwind sections and the three orchestras  are always  thrilled to have more string players.  If you are interested in participating in any of these groups please call the conductor or come to the first rehearsal to check it out.
Registration will take place on Saturday September 8th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
at the Roberts Creek Community Use Room ((in the foyer while the band rehearses).

The 2007-8 fee schedule is as follows:
          first ensemble - seniors (19+) $100,
          juniors (under 19 years of age) $50;
          each additional ensemble $20.  
         There is also a required membership fee of $10 per family
 Bursaries are available by application.
 There is a $10 discount for early payment

COMMUNITY ORCHESTRA BEGINS ITS 14th SEASON

The Sunshine Coast Community Orchestra Association (SCCOA)is about to begin its 14th year operating permanent orchestras giving musicians of all ages/skill levels on orchestral instruments an opportunity to play mostly classical and popular music.  Each ensemble rehearses weekly and gives scheduled concerts throughout the year.  The Christmas and Spring concerts are popular with music lovers on the Coast.  This fall the family Hallowe'en Howl returns - watch local papers for announcements. 
CALENDAR ITEMS

Saturday May 31st Annual Spring Concert -  Heritage Playhouse Theatre in Gibsons at 7:30pm. Our featured local artist will be Neal Andrews playing the first movement to Hayden's Trumpet Concerto in E flat major accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra. Neal will be heading off to University in the fall, so come hear and support this local talented musician. Admission at the door is $10 for all adults and $5 for children under 12.
 NEW Calendar Items
The Sunshine Coast Community Orchestra Association is looking for conductors for our fall program starting in September 2008.
 For our fall program starting in September 2008, we will require conductors for our Coast Symphony Orchestra (CSO), our Suncoast Concert Band (SCB), and our Tuesday Chamber Players (TCP).
